Qeshm Island, the largest island in the Persian Gulf, with an area of about 1445 square kilometers, is located near the Strait of Hormuz between 26 degrees and 45 minutes of north latitude and 55 degrees and 47 minutes of east longitude compared to the Greenwich meridian, and its height is 10 meters above sea level. The length of the island is 112 km and the width is 11 to 33 km.
Soheili village is located on the north coast of Qeshm Island and 60 kilometers from Qeshm city. This village is located between the villages of Dehkhoda in the east and Tabal city in the west. The access road to the village is from the north coast and the access road is from the south coast after Naqasheh village.
There are a number of historic water structures (ponds) in the area of Soheili village, which are still used by the villagers. In the last few years, a number of karbands (earthen dams) have been built in the upstream in order to control the flood caused by the seasonal rains and use in the groves.

Suragh pond is a long pond on which construction has also been done and it is located outside the context and in the west of the village, next to the western gardens of the village.
The Moq Sheikh pond is located in the east of the village on the slope of a gentle rocky slope, and the route of surface water transfer is also known. This pond has water and metal valves are installed in its entrances to prevent the entry of animals and it is also used. Saroj mortar has been used in the body of this pond (reservoir) and next to it, the place where the mortar was prepared can also be identified.
Dawlat pond is located about 200 meters southeast of Moq Sheikh pond . This pond is located in the path of surface water, and its water is provided by this method of sedimentation.
