Soheili Village; Making Dreams Come True in Silence
The visit of more than 50,000 people in the first week of Nowruz this year to Soheili Village on the beautiful island of Qeshm demonstrates the fact that when goals are realistic, infrastructure is designed and implemented in line with the capacities and capabilities of the region, and the work is entrusted to the people, we can witness the birth of a “green tourism village” that stands shoulder to shoulder with other exemplary global tourism villages and is a candidate for registration as a global tourism village.
According to the report of “Nedaye Jazeereh”, Soheili Village can be considered one of the few villages that, with the planning and efforts of the officials and the support and empathy of the Soheili residents, ended the challenge of “migration to the cities,” and today it can be introduced to the world as a village that established and realized “reverse migration”!
Proper planning and goal setting based on the capabilities of the region, optimal and appropriate use of assets, appropriate capacity building for tourism and its development without damaging the environment and natural texture of the village, are among the most important reasons for Soheili's brilliance in earning the title of a model green tourism village.
This is the same point that Abdul Majid Salaghi, head of the Islamic Council of Hara District and member of the Islamic Council of Soheili Village, also pointed out and says:
Fortunately, under the shadow of the planning and all-round support and cooperation of the Soheili residents, Soheili Village has entered a new stage of its life and has doubled the welcome of respected tourists to visit Soheili and its attractions.
According to the head of the Islamic Council of Hara District, from the first to the seventh of Farvardin this year, about 45 thousand people visited Soheili and its various and diverse attractions, and on the seventh of Farvardin, Soheili Village witnessed the visits and circulation of 15 thousand people (in just one day), which is very interesting in its own right and is considered a record.
Abdul Majid Salaghi considered Soheili's success in winning the title of a model village for green tourism and its nomination for global competition with selected villages worldwide possible only through planning, effort, and attracting the cooperation and assistance of the people of Soheili, saying: "Today's successes are the result of the efforts of all the people and their trust in their elected officials, and we hope to witness more successes for Soheili in the future." It is worth noting that the mangrove forests and the tourist recreational pier, old palm groves, the Soheili roof, eco-lodges, and local restaurants are attractive and interesting areas for tourism and are considered attractions of Soheili village.
