As one of Iran’s green tourism destinations, Soheili Village has a high potential for sustainable tourism development due to its unique natural and cultural attractions. In this workshop, it was emphasized that proper supply chain management can help reduce negative environmental impacts, preserve natural resources, and improve the quality of tourism services. Also, this approach can lead to the creation of a strong and sustainable brand for Soheili Village as a green and responsible destination.
Participants emphasized the need for the participation of all stakeholders, including the government, the private sector, local communities, and environmental organizations, in creating a sustainable supply chain. Education and empowerment of the local community, the use of green technologies, and compliance with environmental standards were among the key solutions discussed. Qeshm Geopark and the Qeshm Free Zone Environmental Department also announced their commitment to supporting these initiatives. At the end of the workshop, it was decided to develop and implement operational plans to strengthen the sustainable supply chain in Soheili Village. These measures will not only help preserve the environment and local culture, but can also position Soheili Village as a successful model in green tourism at the national and international levels. This workshop is an important step towards promoting responsible and sustainable tourism in the region.
