
Workshop on "Planning and Management of Soheili Tourism Pier Services and Products" with the presence of the Director of the UNESCO Center for Intangible Heritage Studies in Central and Southwest Asia
The training workshop “Planning and Management of Services and Products of Soheili Tourism Pier” was held on January 31, 2025, with the presence of Soheili Tourism Pier exhibitors and a speech by Dr. Atosa Momeni, Director of the UNESCO Center for the Study of the Intangible Heritage of Central and Southwest Asia. The workshop was organized with the aim of improving the quality of services and products provided at Soheili Tourism Pier and strengthening its position as one of the important tourism destinations in the region.
In this workshop, Dr. Momeni emphasized the importance of preserving and introducing intangible heritage as an integral part of the tourism experience. She noted that Soheili Tourism Pier, given its strategic location and natural and cultural attractions, can act as a successful model in sustainable tourism development. She also emphasized the need for careful planning and professional management of identity-based services and products to satisfy tourists and create a memorable experience.
She outlined successful examples of providing tourism services in other countries and encouraged exhibitors to adopt an experiential service approach, and outlined other models.
Participants in the workshop, including exhibitors and local activists, discussed and exchanged views on the challenges and opportunities facing the Soheili Tourism Pier. Topics such as improving the quality of local products, promoting tourism services, using new technologies, and effective marketing were among the main themes of the discussions.
