Registration of the traditional camel bath event of Soheili village in the country's events calendar
The traditional event of “Oshtoran Bath”, which is considered one of the ancient rituals of the Soheili Tourist Village, has been officially registered in the country’s events calendar.
This event, which has its roots in the region’s ancient culture and traditions, is held every year in the Soheili Village and showcases part of the intangible heritage and lifestyle of the natives of Qeshm Island. The registration of this ritual in the country’s events calendar is an important step towards preserving, revitalizing, and introducing the village’s indigenous culture to domestic and foreign tourists.
With this measure, it is expected that the Oshtoran Bath event will become one of the region’s cultural-tourism attractions and provide a basis for tourism to flourish, strengthen the local economy, and increase public awareness about the authentic traditions of Qeshm Island.
