A special first aid training course for captains and boaters of the Hera Forest Pier was held in Soheili village, in cooperation with the Red Crescent Society and local authorities. This course aimed to increase captains’ preparedness in facing potential accidents and improve tourist safety in one of the most visited tourist areas of Qeshm Island.
In this course, participants were introduced to the principles of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), bleeding control, fracture management, and first aid in maritime accidents. Also, given the weather conditions of the region, training was provided on heatstroke and helping the injured in water environments.
This training course was widely welcomed by captains and boaters. While emphasizing the importance of these trainings, the participants called for the continuation of such programs to increase the safety and quality of tourism services in the region.
