
Commencement of tourism infrastructure development in Soheili village
The pavement construction of the entrance to the tourist village of Soheili on Qeshm Island has commenced, aiming to improve accessibility and enhance the quality of tourism services in the area.
Abbas Raeisi, Acting Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts of Hormozgan, in an interview with Hara News, stated:
“This project, with an allocation of over 20 billion rials from national funds, has been launched as part of the development of tourism infrastructure in one of the most important ecotourism destinations of Qeshm Island.”
He emphasized the special significance of Soheili village along the Qeshm UNESCO Global Geopark route and added:
“Improving accessibility, proper pavement construction, and upgrading the level of services are among the priorities of this project, which can enhance tourist satisfaction and ultimately boost the local economy.”
Raeisi further noted that the Hormozgan Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts also has other infrastructure projects planned for additional tourism-targeted villages across the island, which will be implemented in phases.
