The Vice President of Iran’s Rowing Federation Visits Soheili

Pourasgari, the Vice President of the Iranian Rowing Federation, arrived in the world-renowned village of Soheili today to review the training conditions of the national rowing team.

During this visit, he evaluated the facilities, capacities, and the Soheili pier as a potential host for the national team’s training camp, which is scheduled to be held at the same location in January.

Pourasgari stated that holding the national team camp in the natural and tranquil environment of Soheili can strengthen the rowers’ mental and concentration training, offering a new model for national camps. According to him, initial coordination with local officials has already been made, and Soheili “has the capability to host a standard national training camp.”

In recent years, Soheili Village has been recognized as a “global model tourism village,” and it now appears that this reputation is extending into scientific and athletic fields as well. This visit marks the first official step toward launching rowing camps amid the mangroves and calm southern shores.
